Matter content: always on the computer
Recording, transcription, case brief, export and AI run locally. MeetIT never receives audio, transcripts or matter content, and the product has no Cloud AI, sync, media storage or share links.

MeetIT Legal is a standalone product with no cloud services for content. Recording, transcript, case brief and AI run on the lawyer’s own computer, and there is no setting that sends matter content to MeetIT. This page states exactly what the product does, so a firm can document it in its own risk assessment.

Update checks, model downloads and trial or licence checks. These requests never contain recordings, transcripts or matter content.
The firm is normally responsible for the recording and its purpose. For each use case, document at least:
Why recording is necessary and the legal basis for processing it.
Tell participants that recording is taking place, why, who controls it, retention, sharing and their rights.
Record only what the purpose requires. Pause or stop around unrelated or especially sensitive material.
Set deletion, archive and access rules before the first recording — including transcripts and exports.
Use full-disk encryption, restrict OS accounts and include MeetIT Legal in the firm’s risk assessment.
The files exist only on the computer. Include the MeetIT Legal folder in the firm’s normal backup and deletion routines.
Speech recognition and generative AI can omit, mishear or misclassify information. MeetIT Legal links outputs to the recording, separates facts from claims and keeps potential deadlines unconfirmed until a lawyer reviews them.
This page is not a security addendum or a legal opinion for your firm. MeetIT processes no matter content and is therefore not a processor for your clients’ data; the firm’s own assessment of recording, retention and access still applies. The privacy policy covers the little MeetIT processes about you as a user: an email address for the trial and licence.
